To all the guys out there who want to improve their style in a respectable manner that will therefor impress the ladies.
How to dress for everyday occasions
Although some of these items may seem slightly formal at first, the formality really comes from how you put the overall outfit together. The advantage of these styles is that they can be worn in such a wide variety of situations, ranging from sunday brunch to coffee with a girl. They can even be worn to almost any kind of evening event that is not strictly formal.
Shirts
Collared, buttoned shirts are essential. They can be short sleeved or long sleeved depending on the weather. The following styles are very versatile
-cream
-pale blue
-red pinstripe on white
-navy pinstripe on white
-pale colours such as lime green or lavender with contrasting white collars

Pants
Khaki and navy coloured trousers are great staple items as you can mix and match them with a variety of shirts. Grey trousers can also be a good option in the fall to wear with sweaters. In the warmer months coloured shorts (especially nantucket red) and Khaki shorts are the way to go.
Sweaters and Cardigans
if you didn’t already know it is okay for guys to wear cardigans as long as you wear them right. Cream coloured cardigans look great over colourful shirts and paired with plain khaki or even grey trousers. As for sweaters, I believe staple colours are coffee, burgundy and navy. Try styles such as cable knit, half zip, crew necks and v-necks. Brighter colours like green and orange can work as well.
Jackets
The essential everyday jackets you should have are blazers, twill jackets/quilted jackets and also winter coats. Blazers are so versatile as they can be worn informally and formally. A staple colour for a blazer is navy blue. It looks great with khaki coloured pants and can be worn with a variety of coloured shirts and ties. Piped and crested blazers can also create more of a preppy feel to your look. Quilted jackets are good for layering with sweaters and cardigans and look best in neutral colours like beige, navy and black.
Ties
As this section is everyday wear, ties are not always necessary but they can make an outfit look a whole lot smarter and neater. Choose a tie that corresponds to the other colours and patterns of your outfit. Remember more is less and sometimes patterns can be overwhelming.
